Hui Lima Hana Elua /”PAOA” alongside Ikuna Koa Outrigger Canoe Club will bring to San Diego

Our first San Diego Hoʽolauleʽa and Keiki Klassic Kanoe Regatta.

We have joined hands as Hawaiians with a mission to promote Lōkahi , with our main goal to share awareness , and our culture with our main emphasis on Nā Keiki, at the same time promote the Nā ʽŌpio Hawaiian cultural immersion program of Ikuna Koa Outrigger Canoe Club founded and run by braddah Gus Cervantes.

This is sure to be something some of us have never seen before here on the mainland, as we bring to life the meaning:  ”Mauka to Makai“ which we know will thrill all ages from nā Keiki to Kūpuna.

This has been a dream for both Gus and myself to promote our Hawaiian Heritage as well as all other ethnic diversity of the Hawaiian Islands.

There will be food vendors, music, hula, boutique vendors, culture workshops for all ages including but not limited to nā mea hana lima such as ipu making, lei making, pu ‘ohe making, and story-telling.  There will also be a keiki  ID program specifically for our Nā Keiki. And on ke kai, there will be the first annual Ikuna Koa Keiki Klassic  Kanoe  Regatta.  Where there will be elimination heats between nā kieki  from different canoe clubs.

This will be a one day event where we hope to allow non-profit food and craft vendors to make money for their organizations and special projects. If at a certain point we cannot fill our booths with non-profits we will open it up to the private sector on a first come first serve basis.

Please join as us we celebrate Lei Day the Old Hawaiian Way of LŌKAHI
